I worked in a hippie cafe where I was introduced to this delicious acai bowl (pronounced AH-SIGH-EE). Yep, I pronounced it wrong the first time and an awkward silence pursued with my customers. Anyway, I was hooked on afterwards and decided to try to make my own.
1 packet of unsweetened frozen acai puree (Sambazon) or 2 tablespoons of acai powder
150 mL almond milk
60 g blueberries
1 tablespoon honey (optional) - not for vegans
20 g blueberries
1/2 a kiwi
1/2 small banana
3 tbsp granola
2 tbsp of chia seeds
1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
Tips: Top with any fruits you love to this delicious breakfast.
Combine all listed ingredients in blender and blend.
Pour into a bowl and top with granola, banana, blueberries, chia seeds, coconut flakes, and any other fruit that you desire.
